Archana is an social justice activist who believes in radical approaches to challenging systems and processes that oppress marginalized gender and sexual minorities. As programme coordinator of the Safe Abortion for Everyone (SAFE) program her main focus is on supporting the pillars that will foster a reproductive justice movement primarily centering the experiences of marginalized young people in India. They work on building content, designing programs and coordinating smooth implementation across teams for the SAFE program. Since 2016, Archana has been learning and serving the people through building learning and practices which implement and evaluate change. She has multidisciplinary experiences in local governance, education and research in global contexts. After her bachelor’s in economics from St. Teresa’s College, Kochi, she worked as a fellow with over 200+ youth over two years through the Teach For India Fellowship. Recently Archana graduated from the International Institute of Social Studies from Den Haag Netherlands with a Master’s in Development Studies, she trained with KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, Netherlands to learn evaluation and creating content focusing on youth participatory action research in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Human Rights.
Archana loves being creative whether through music, writing poetry and traveling.
