Nayanshree is consciously involved in understanding the mundane (yet not so mundane) events of the world from a queer feminist lens. At The YP Foundation, she works on making spaces for queer and trans* folks affirming and inclusive through various projects and leadership programmes. Before working in the queer rights programme, they were involved in designing digital campaigns around issues of sexuality, masculinities, queer rights, gender based violence, and reproductive rights.
She holds a Master’s degree in Gender Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi and has worked in spaces such as Anveshi – Research Centre for Women’s Studies and Teen Belle Magazine. Their research interest lies at the intersection of education, psychology and queer and trans* studies. She is often found questioning the language and art in children’s literature to understand its social and political underpinnings. With many creative interests, her favourite is making lists of things.
