Shubhangani is a young queer activist who has over 5 years of experience of working in the areas of gender and sexuality, health, sex workers’ rights. With a background in Philosophy and Gender Studies, she has worked with various queer-feminist organisations to design and implement community-led programmes and has researched on participatory philanthropic approaches. She has been a fellow of the RiseUp Youth Champions Initiative and Outright LBQ Connect programme.

At the YP Foundation, she leads the Abortion Rights and Reproductive Justice programme, ensuring a rights-based narrative shift around abortion and enabling access to safe abortion for all young people.In her free time, she loves to make comics around gender, pop-culture, politics, with a huge cup of coffee (and multiple refills!).
