Zayan (He/him) is a Dalit queer feminist activist who has been working on the intersections of gender, caste, sexuality and education for 5 years. Currently, he works at The YP Foundation leading the Queer and Trans* rights thematic. He holds a masters degree in Education from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi and has been published in journals like Contemporary Education Dialogue, The Teacher Plus, etc. He has been selected as a fellow for LBQ Connect Programme by The Outright International and Youth Champions Initiative by Rise Up. He is also a TEDx speaker. As a trained educator, he has the experience of teaching children, researching and analysing the field of education and teacher education from the lens of gender and sexuality. In this free time, he loves to strum his guitar and jam with his friends.
